Congratulations to Megan Girdwood on her paper in ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering describing a novel CO₂-assisted leaching process for vanadium extraction — using a SodaStream device to generate carbonic acid as the lixiviant! The approach offers a low-cost, low-hazard route to vanadium recovery from industrial residues. Great to continue collaborating with Chris Bumby on this work, along with Mohammad Arif, Lisa Pearcy, and Kathryn Dahm. A creative and fun study — well done Megan!
