Pitambar’s paper on ionic liquid-derived carbon electrodes for vanadium flow batteries
Publication
Congratulations to Pitambar Poudel on his paper in Carbon investigating ionic liquid-derived carbon materials as electrode catalysts for the V4+/V5+ redox reaction in vanadium redox flow batteries. The study shows improved activity and kinetics at ionic liquid-derived carbons compared to conventional electrodes, and links the improvements to nitrogen, oxygen, and phosphorus heteroatom content. A collaborative effort with Owen Curnow, Harikrishnan Raghavan, and Chang Wu. Well done Pitambar!
